Square Parquet – Looking for a sophisticated design sure to add drama to any room in a home, parquet panels are offered in many traditional patterns or can be built to your exact specifications.
Herringbone – Another style of parquet floor is the herringbone pattern. Herringbone floors are usually installed in lengths that are evenly divisible by their widths to allow for variation in patterns. Any specie can be milled into a herringbone-style floor and they are often installed with a “feature strip” around the perimeter of the pattern.
Borders – Borders are an encompassing term that refers to the process of surrounding a room or an area with a species other than the dominant wood in the room. Peruvian Walnut, for example, makes an excellent border material for standard red or white oak floors. Consult with a Phoenix Hardwood Project Manager on the many options available for borders.
